Crafting projects aren’t always Pinterest perfect, and for the amateur crafter, making something a little on the wonky side feels like a FAIL; it’s not!
Experimenting with color, working with new materials and testing your creative limits will only make crafting more fun, even if the end result isn’t exactly what you pictured. At least, this is what I tell myself when I’m ready to throw a project across the room.
I am crafting challenged. I see all of these beautiful and creative crafts on Pinterest, and when I attempt to make my own, well, let’s just say it doesn’t come out looking like the picture. Rather the craft comes out looking like a little sad. I don’t want to fill my home with sad little objects!
When I think I’ve failed I want to trash the project and quit, but I don’t want to do that anymore. No–not anymore! As an amateur crafter, I will be documenting my crafting creations, for better or worse!
And…as a side note…I will write up some blog posts on other topics, including the books I’m reading and five-minute responses to one-word prompts to help me practice my writing. So, I apologize in advance for the amateur prose.
Thanks for stopping by!
